Job Summary
Evaluate and manage orthopedic patients in inpatient and outpatient settings through comprehensive histories, physical examinations, and treatment plan development. Assist with perioperative and postoperative patient management while providing patient and family education. Coordinate care across multidisciplinary teams and maintain accurate documentation within the electronic medical record. Work alongside fellowship-trained orthopedic surgeons, residents, and medical students in a collaborative academic environment. Practice at both Banner University Medical Center - Main Campus and South Campus on a Monday-Friday daytime schedule with no call or weekend rotations.
Required Qualifications
- Current, unrestricted Arizona Physician Assistant license (or ability to obtain prior to start)
- Current prescribing privileges, including DEA registration for controlled substances
- Current BLS and CPR certification
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Strong clinical decision-making and critical thinking abilities
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, collaborative environment
- Monday-Friday daytime schedule
- No call
- No weekends
Desired Qualifications
- Surgical or orthopedic experience preferred, but not required
