Job Summary
Evaluate and manage orthopedic patients in both inpatient and outpatient settings by performing comprehensive histories, physical examinations, and developing treatment plans in collaboration with supervising physicians. Assist with perioperative and postoperative patient management while providing patient and family education and coordinating care across multidisciplinary teams. Maintain accurate and timely documentation within the electronic medical record. Work Monday through Friday daytime hours with no call or weekend requirements, practicing at both Banner University Medical Center locations. Join a collaborative academic team of orthopedic surgeons, residents, and medical students in a program offering strong mentorship and structured onboarding.
Required Qualifications
- Current, unrestricted Arizona Physician Assistant license (or ability to obtain prior to start)
- Current prescribing privileges, including DEA registration for controlled substances
- Current BLS and CPR certification
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Strong clinical decision-making and critical thinking abilities
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, collaborative environment
- Monday-Friday daytime schedule
- No call
- No weekends
Desired Qualifications
- Surgical or orthopedic experience preferred, but not required
