Job Summary
Orthopedic/Surgical Hand Team Physician Assistant in Anchorage, AK. Conduct physical exams, assess health status, order and interpret tests, prescribe medications, and treat illnesses within orthopedic subspecialty and surgical duties. Serve as first assist in surgery, participate in occasional patient rounding, and provide patient education. Works under physician supervision with autonomy in medical decision making and focuses on orthopedic surgery and hand procedures. Eligible candidates hold a bachelor’s degree and accredited PA program completion, 4+ years healthcare experience, 1+ year PA experience (clinical setting preferred), and national PA-C certification. Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree and successful completion of accredited physician assistant program
- Four (4) years of health care experience prior to applying to PA program
- One (1) year of experience as PA, preferably in clinical setting.
- National PA-C certification
