Job Summary
Advanced Practice Provider (Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner) sought for the UPMC Pain Management Anesthesia – Chronic Pain program in Monroeville, PA. This full-time role (Senior or Staff level) involves outpatient clinic care with some hospital rounding, collaborative patient care, and opportunities for professional growth. Eligible candidates will have independent clinical judgment, compile and implement care plans, collaborate with interdisciplinary teams, and participate in quality improvement and educational initiatives. The position offers weekday hours (Mon-Fri, 8:00am–4:30pm) with no on-call or weekend requirements, and includes placement according to years of experience. Licensure requirements include PA or NP credentials (CRNP or NCCPA), active PA license in PA and national certification as applicable, with BSN mandatory and MSN preferred for NP track. The role emphasizes high-quality patient care across age groups, with certification, licensure, and clearances required for employment. Required Qualifications
- Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner licensure (CRNP or NCCPA)
- Completion of an approved Nurse Practitioner program or ARC-PA–accredited Physician Assistant program
- BSN required; MSN preferred for NP track; Bachelor's or Master's degree for PA track
- Current Pennsylvania RN license and CRNP certification or NCCPA certification
- Current CPR certification
- Clearances (Act 33, Act 34, Act 73)
- Senior-level experience (minimum 3 years APP experience or post-graduate residency) for Senior status
