Job Summary

Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner sought to provide medical care delegated by the surgeon, working as a team with another PA and the surgeon. The APP will have their own clinic schedule and split OR time averaging 1.5 days per week, with on-call duties in inpatient and outpatient settings. Eligible for a monthly productivity and stipend bonus. Responsibilities include patient assessments, histories and physicals, administering injections and medications, wound suturing, triaging calls, responding to emergencies, documenting care, educating patients and families, assisting during surgeries, and participating in rounds with after-hours coverage. Candidates should have CPR and ACLS certifications, PA/NP educational background with NCCPA certification or equivalent NP credentials, Arizona licensure, and orthopedics or neurosurgery experience.

Required Qualifications

  • CPR and ACLS Certification
  • BA/BS, MS preferred. Graduate of AMA accredited physician assistant program
  • Active or scheduled NCCPA Certification
  • Current Arizona license for Registered Nurse (RN) for NP track
  • Current Arizona license for Advanced Practice Registered Nurse (APRN) for NP track
  • RNFA required: completion of AORN Standards for RN First Assist education programs
  • 1 year of ortho or neurosurgery experience required
