Job Summary

Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner sought to join The CORE Institute’s orthopedic spine team. The APP will work as a team with the surgeon and another PA, manage their own clinic schedule, and share OR time (approximately 1.5 days per week). Responsibilities include assessing health status, performing histories and physicals, administering injections and medications, suturing wounds, triaging patient problems, responding to emergencies, participating in rounds, and assisting surgeons in the operating room. The role includes after-hours call rotation, a monthly productivity stipend/bonus, and comprehensive benefits. Education requirements include an AMA-accredited PA program with active NCCPA certification for PAs, or Arizona RN/APRN licensure with appropriate certification for NPs; orthopedics or neurosurgery experience is required. The position offers compensation in the range of $110,000–$255,000 DOE with benefits and retirement plans.

Required Qualifications

  • BA/BS, MS preferred for Physician Assistant; AMA-accredited PA program; Active NCCPA Certification
  • Nurse Practitioner: Current Arizona RN license; AZ APRN license; certification by national certifying body as approved by the AZ APRN Board; RNFA education appropriate for first assist in OR
  • 1 year of ortho or neurosurgery experience
  • CPR and ACLS Certification
  • Ability to operate in an SHO or surgical setting and collaborate with surgeon and team
