Job Summary
Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner with neurosurgery focus providing inpatient/outpatient care, assisting in the operating room, rounds, triage, and patient education. Responsibilities include patient histories and physicals, injections and medications, suturing wounds, documenting in patient records, responding to emergencies with CPR, collaborating with physicians and healthcare team, and supporting continuity of care across hospital and clinic settings. Requires CPR/ACLS, PA or NP scope of practice in Arizona, and ongoing certification; opportunity for base salary with productivity bonus and comprehensive benefits.
Required Qualifications
- CPR and ACLS Certification
- PA: BA/BS, MS preferred; Graduate of AMA-accredited Physician Assistant program; Active or scheduled NCCPA Certification
- NP: Current Arizona RN license; ARNP license; National certifying body certification as approved by AZ APRN Board; NP to act as first assist in OR requires AORN Standards education
- Experience preferred; open to training the right new graduate
- Knowledge of acute and chronic protocols; administration of medications; health promotion principles
Desired Qualifications
- MS in Physician Assistant Studies
- NCCPA certification
- Arizona APRN license
- ACLS certification
- BLS/CPR certification
- Neurosurgery or OR first assist experience
