Job Summary
Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant sought for Northwestern Medicine Immediate Care Clinic in Sycamore, IL. Shifts include 3x12s with rotating weekends and holidays; no nights and on-call required. Responsibilities include conducting comprehensive health assessments, diagnosing and managing a wide range of health problems, prescribing medications and therapies, ordering and interpreting tests, teaching patients and families, mentoring graduate students, participating in quality improvement and research, collaborating with the supervising physician and other health professionals, maintaining licensure/privileging, and serving on committees as appropriate. Requires Master’s degree and licensure as an APRN or Physician Assistant in Illinois, BLS certification, and credentialing as part of NMH Medical Staff. Preferred one year of APP experience.
Required Qualifications
- Master’s degree from an accredited school/college of nursing OR master's degree from an accredited Physician Assistant Program
- Current license as a Registered Nurse in the State of Illinois
- Current license as an Advanced Practice Registered Nurse in the State of Illinois OR Physician's Assistant license in Illinois
- Certification as an Advanced Practice Registered Nurse by a national certifying body as approved by the Illinois Department of Regulation APRN Board
- Privileged and credentialed through the NMH Medical Staff Office (MSO)
- Cardio-Pulmonary Resuscitation – BLS, issued by the American Heart Association
