Job Summary
Physician Assistant or Acute Care Nurse Practitioner sought to join Northwestern Medicine's Maternal Fetal Medicine team in a part-time, days-only hybrid setting. The APP will monitor and manage high-risk obstetric patients, provide inpatient coverage and hospital rounding, and contribute to education, quality improvement, and research. Responsibilities include comprehensive patient assessments, direct clinical care, prescribing and interpreting tests, patient and family education, documentation, interdisciplinary collaboration, and serving as a patient advocate within a high-risk obstetric care context. Requires ongoing licensure/credentialing, supporting a patient-first approach and participation in professional development and committee activities.
Required Qualifications
- Master’s degree from an accredited school/college of nursing OR master's degree from an accredited Physician Assistant Program
- Acute care certification required for APRNs (inpatient experience as an NP will be considered in lieu of acute care certification)
- Current license as a Registered Nurse in the State of Illinois
- Current license as an Advanced Practice Registered Nurse in the State of Illinois or physician assistant license in Illinois
- Certification as an Advanced Practice Registered Nurse by a national certifying body as approved by the Illinois Department of Regulation APRN Board
- Privileged and credentialed through Northwestern Medicine MSO
- BLS from American Heart Association
