Job Summary
Conduct patient evaluations and manage complex eyelid, lacrimal, and orbital conditions under attending supervision. Assist surgeons in the operating room and oversee perioperative management while performing in-office procedures and prescribing medications. Participate in on-call coverage for nights, weekends, and holidays, and evaluate inpatient and emergency department consults. Collaborate with residents, fellows, and multidisciplinary teams in outpatient, inpatient, and operative settings to support clinical, educational, and quality improvement initiatives.
Required Qualifications
- Graduate of an accredited Physician Assistant program
- NCCPA certification
- Current or eligible Physician Assistant licensure in the practicing state
- BLS certification
- Strong clinical judgment
- Communication skills
- Organizational skills
Desired Qualifications
- Prior experience in ophthalmology, oculoplastics, or surgical subspecialties
- Experience in an academic or teaching hospital environment
- Comfort with inpatient care and consult-based practice
- ACLS certification
