Job Summary
The Physician Assistant / Nurse Practitioner will provide clinical support in an orthopedic practice, focusing on total joint replacement and reconstruction procedures. Responsibilities include conducting comprehensive musculoskeletal assessments, collaborating with surgical teams, managing patient care plans, administering medications, and assisting in surgeries. Candidates must possess the necessary California license and DEA certificate, demonstrate strong communication skills, and show the ability to thrive in a busy environment.
Required Qualifications
- California Physician Assistant license upon hire
- Prescribing and dispensing privileges in California
- DEA certificate (or evidence of application upon hire and obtained within 90 days) for Physician Assistants
- Active California NP license upon hire for Nurse Practitioners
- National certification (AANP or ANCC) for Nurse Practitioners
- Furnishing license and prescribing authority in California for Nurse Practitioners
- DEA certificate (or evidence of application upon hire and obtained within 90 days) for all providers
Desired Qualifications
- Orthopedic experience preferred
- EMR skills preferred (NextGen or EPIC a plus)
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Highly organized and able to multitask in a fast-paced practice
- Flexible and adaptable to changing schedules and patient needs
