Job Summary
Conduct physical assessments, administer prescribed treatments, perform diagnostic tests, and interpret laboratory findings for patients across pediatrics to geriatrics. Provide surveillance of medical regimens, adjust treatments within established protocols, and refer complex cases to the Supervising Physician. Deliver preventive care, counsel patients on risk factors, and accurately document all findings and education in medical records. Maintain productivity targets of 20–24 patients daily with 20-minute intervals while collaborating with the health care team and attending mandatory meetings. Comply with all safety, HIPAA, and clinical standards.
Required Qualifications
- Certification as a Physician Assistant issued by the California Board of Physician Assistants
- Possession of DEA (Drug Enforcement Administration) License
- Basic Life Support (BLS) Certificate
- Two years' experience in acute ambulatory care
- Successful completion of a Nurse Practitioner program
- Certification as a Nurse Practitioner issued by the California Board of Registered Nursing
- Spanish speaking
