Job Summary
Diagnose pain conditions and develop individualized care plans using a multidisciplinary treatment approach. Assess patient health by interviewing patients and performing physical examinations, including obtaining and studying medical histories. Determine abnormal conditions by administering or ordering diagnostic tests such as X-rays and laboratory studies, and interpret results. Document patient care services by charting in patient and department records. Implement physician directives and recommend options for patient care while maintaining a safe, clean environment that adheres to infection-control policies. Provide counseling on emotional problems and normal growth and development. Maintain professional knowledge through educational workshops and professional societies.
Required Qualifications
- Graduate of an accredited Nurse Practitioner / Physician Assistant Program (Master's Level)
- Must hold an unencumbered state license
- Maintain licensure in good standing
- Fulfilling required CME/CEU hours
- Development and maintenance of effective relationships with medical and administrative staff, patients, and the public
- Ability to communicate effectively in writing and verbally
- Ability to remain calm and poised in urgent situations
- Skill in exercising initiative, judgment, problem solving, and decision making
- Analysis of complex disease processes
- Ability to set priorities and avoid crises management
