Job Summary
Physician Assistant/Nurse Practitioner role in Gastroenterology at Prisma Health in Sumter, SC. Under physician supervision, provides comprehensive patient care including taking histories, performing exams, ordering and interpreting tests (CTs, MRIs, ultrasound, radiology), diagnosing, formulating and carrying out treatment plans (prescribing medications per state laws), and providing emergency care. Role involves clinical support, policy/operational improvements, and collaboration with the supervising physician. Requires PA program degree, NCCPA certification, PA licensure, and BLS; EM CAQ preferred. On-site in Sumter, SC with full-time schedule.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in a Physician Assistant program
- NCCPA certification
- current Physician Assistant licensure in the state
- BLS
