Job Summary
Examine, diagnose, and treat patients of all ages with acute illnesses, injuries, or chronic disease exacerbations under the mentorship of experienced NP/PA faculty. Order evidence-based testing, prescribe medications, and refer to specialists as required. Deliver occupational medicine services including DOT exams and worker's compensation injury treatment, and perform pre-participation physicals for camps, sports, and employment. Maintain accurate and comprehensive patient charts within the Electronic Medical Record. This 9-month continuing specialty rotation provides hands-on care experience alongside guided didactic curriculum, preparing fellows for success in a fast-paced urgent care environment.
Required Qualifications
- Successful completion of an accredited approved PA or FNP program
- Active board certification with NCCPA
- Active board certification with AANP or ANCC
- Licensure as a Physician Assistant or Family Nurse Practitioner in the state where you are applying
- Demonstrated clinical competence
- Superior verbal and written communication skills
- Interpersonal effectiveness
- Customer relation skills
- Computer competence
- Active desire to learn
