Job Summary
Examine, diagnose, and treat patients of all ages with acute illnesses, injuries, or chronic disease exacerbations. Order evidence-based testing, prescribe medications, and refer to specialists as needed. Deliver occupational medicine services including DOT exams and treat Worker's Compensation injuries. Perform pre-participation physicals for camps, sports, and employment. Maintain accurate patient charts and document information in the Electronic Medical Record (EMR). Collaborate with Urgent Care teams under the mentorship of experienced NP/PA's during a minimum 9-month continuing specialty rotation. Gain comprehensive clinical experience through one-on-one preceptorship, hands-on patient care, and guided didactic lectures.
Required Qualifications
- Successful completion of an accredited approved PA or FNP program
- Active board certification with NCCPA
- Active board certification with AANP or ANCC
- Licensure as a Physician Assistant or Family Nurse Practitioner in the state where you are applying
- Demonstrated clinical competence
- Superior verbal and written communication skills
- Interpersonal effectiveness
- Customer relation skills
- Computer competence
- Active desire to learn
