Job Summary
Fellowship program (minimum 9 months) for Physician Assistants or Family Nurse Practitioners in urgent care. Fellows work under one-on-one preceptorship with Urgent Care Clinical Faculty, gaining hands-on patient care experience across ages with acute illnesses and injuries. Responsibilities include examining, diagnosing, and treating patients; ordering tests, prescribing medications, and referring to specialists as required; providing occupational medicine services including DOT exams and Workers’ Compensation care; performing pre-participation physicals; maintaining comprehensive EMR documentation. Requires active board certification (NCCPA for PAs or AANP/ANCC for FNPs) and state licensure; opportunities for transfer across WellNow locations; competitive salary with benefits and continuing education options; 9-month specialty rotation designed to develop urgent care competencies. Required Qualifications
- Completed PA or FNP program
- Active board certification with NCCPA (PA) or AANP/ANCC (FNP)
- State licensure as PA or FNP in the applying state
- Demonstrated clinical competence; strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Proficiency with Electronic Medical Records (EMR)
