Job Summary
Physician Assistant for Neuro Critical Care at Maine Medical Center in Portland, ME. Will perform daily rounds on a team of fellows, residents and students; develop and implement care plans; order and interpret diagnostic studies; manage admissions, discharges, and family meetings. Participates in research and quality initiatives for Medical/Nero Critical Care and/or Surgical Critical Care; contributes to teaching rounds, journal club, case conferences, and morbidity and mortality activities. Requires Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees, successful PA program completion, postgraduate critical care training or equivalent experience, Maine licensure (or eligibility), and BLS certification. MaineHealth Maine Medical Center is a Level 1 Trauma Center and Comprehensive Stroke Center with strong opportunities for professional growth and interdisciplinary collaboration.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree
- Master's degree
- Successful completion of accredited Physician Assistant program
- Postgraduate training program in critical care or related specialty OR equivalent experience
- Current license issued by the State of Maine or eligible for licensure
- Current BLS certification
