Job Summary
Examine patients, take medical histories, and make preliminary diagnoses for ENT-related conditions under physician supervision. Administer and order diagnostic tests including x-rays and blood work, then interpret results and develop treatment plans. Perform in-office procedures such as ear lavage and nasal endoscopy, while prescribing medications within state guidelines. Document all encounters thoroughly in electronic health records and ensure compliance with clinic policies. Assist physicians with emergency treatments and complex procedures as assigned.
Required Qualifications
- Demonstrated competency dealing with all age groups including neonates, infants, children, adolescents, adults, and geriatric patients.
- Excellent verbal communication skills.
- Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills.
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Basic understanding of administrative and clerical procedures and systems.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software.
- Completion of a four-year physician assistant baccalaureate program and a year of clinical training, or Completion of a two-year accredited physician assistant program (which requires two years of undergraduate study) plus two years of clinical training following completion of PA program.
- Prolonged periods of standing, walking, and moving.
- Must be able to lift 25 pounds at times.
