Job Summary
Physician Assistant duties include medical services delegated by the supervising physician, such as obtaining patient histories, performing physical examinations, writing progress notes and monthly care plans, ordering and performing diagnostic and therapeutic procedures, formulating diagnoses, developing and implementing treatment plans, monitoring therapeutic effectiveness, and providing counseling and education. PAs may treat medical conditions and perform procedures in hospital, clinic, or other settings as authorized by the supervising physician; emergency scenarios may require treatment of any disease or surgical procedures when timely care is essential. Work schedule is rotational (including day and night shifts) with duties performed across appropriate clinical settings.
Required Qualifications
- Graduate of an accredited Physician’s Assistant program
- Registered as a Physician’s Assistant in New York State
- NCCPA certified
- Education Required Level - Bachelor Degree
