Job Summary

Conduct comprehensive patient assessments including medical history reviews, physical examinations, and neurological evaluations. Develop and implement treatment plans for neurology, pain management, and internal medicine cases while ordering and interpreting diagnostic tests such as MRIs, CT scans, and laboratory results. Provide patient education on conditions and preventive measures, maintain accurate medical records, and collaborate with nurses, therapists, and pharmacists to optimize care. Participate in continuous quality improvement activities and stay current on medical developments through ongoing education. Requires a South Carolina license, NCCPA certification, and proficiency in EMR systems.

Required Qualifications

  • Graduation from an accredited Physician Assistant program
  • Current license to practice as a Physician Assistant in South Carolina
  • Certification by the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants (NCCPA)
  • Excellent clinical skills, including the ability to perform thorough physical examinations and interpret diagnostic tests accurately
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to establish rapport with patients and collaborate effectively with the healthcare team
  • Commitment to providing compassionate, patient-centered care
  • Ability to work independently and make sound clinical decisions under the supervision of a physician
  • Proficiency in electronic medical record (EMR) systems
  • Willingness to participate in continuing education and maintain licensure and certification requirements
