Job Summary
Obtain comprehensive medical histories, perform thorough physical examinations, and accurately document clinical findings. Order, perform, and interpret routine diagnostic tests, including laboratory studies, imaging, and EKGs. Monitor patient status, promptly communicate significant clinical changes and diagnostic results to the supervising physician, and perform common bedside procedures such as injections, IV line placement, and catheterization. Conduct daily patient rounds, assess clinical progress, and coordinate care by consulting subspecialists as needed. Requires current New York State registration and NCCPA certification. Based at NYC Health + Hospitals/South Brooklyn Health, this role supports the Health & Wellness Institute's outpatient services for children and adults within a system dedicated to equitable care for all New Yorkers.
Required Qualifications
- Current New York State registration as a Physician Assistant
- Current certification issued by the NCCPA
