Job Summary
Conduct minor surgeries, suturing, splinting, and general orthopedic evaluations while interpreting x-rays, EKGs, and managing emergency situations. Provide patient-focused care across urgent care, primary medical, telemedicine, occupational medicine, dermatology, ophthalmology, and GYN services for children of all ages. Perform general eye problem assessments and treat diverse patient populations in high-volume clinics. Shifts are determined two months in advance, with schedules ranging from 8:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. Monday through Friday and 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. or 9:00 p.m. on weekends. Board certification and MSN required; experience with EMR and Microsoft Office preferred.
Required Qualifications
- Physician Assistant Board Certification
- MSN, or higher education
- Must be able to lift 50 lbs
- Must be available for weekend shifts
- Must be available for Saturday and Sunday shifts
- Must be available for shifts determined two months in advance
- Must be able to work Monday through Friday 8:00 a.m. – 8:00 p.m.
- Must be able to work Saturday and Sunday 9:00 a.m. – 4:00 p.m.
- Must be able to work Saturday and Sunday 9:00 a.m. – 9:00 p.m.
- Must be able to work in Montgomery, AL, Pelham, AL, Mobile, AL, Tallahassee, FL, Augusta, GA, Columbus, GA, Wilmington, NC, Greenville, NC, Wake Forest, NC and Winston-Salem, NC
- Must be able to work in multiple clinics in your area
- Must be able to provide leadership in a high volume and fast-paced urgent care environment
- Must be able to perform minor surgery (toenail removal, foreign object removal, etc.)
- Must be able to perform suturing
- Must be able to perform splinting
- Must be able to perform General Orthopedic evaluations/management
- Must be able to perform General Dermatology
- Must be able to perform General eye problems
- Must be able to perform General EKG interpretations
- Must be able to perform Emergency management skills
- Must be able to perform General GYN expertise
- Must be able to treat children of all ages
- Must be able to perform Occupational medicine
- Must be able to perform Telemedicine
- Must be able to review x-rays (to be over-read by Radiologist, too)
Desired Qualifications
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Experience working in EMR and Microsoft Office suite (Word, Excel, etc.)
