Job Summary
Advanced Practice Provider role at Live Urgent Care: Evaluate, diagnose, and treat acute illnesses and injuries across all ages; perform urgent care procedures (suturing, splinting, wound care, incision and drainage, foreign body removal); interpret initial digital X-rays and EKGs; conduct DOT physicals and occupational health visits; manage common urgent care presentations; collaborate with MAs, scribes, and leadership; maintain efficient patient flow and high clinical standards; practice with clinical autonomy in a high-volume urgent care setting.
Required Qualifications
- Current licensure as a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant
- Minimum of 1 year of urgent care experience
- Active DOT certification
- Strong procedural skills (suturing, splinting, wound care, incision and drainage)
- Ability to interpret initial digital X-rays and EKGs
- Ability to manage a broad range of acute illnesses and injuries
- Strong clinical judgment and ability to work independently
- Excellent communication skills and patient-first approach
- Master’s degree from an accredited Physician Assistant or Nursing program
- Nurse Practitioners: ANCC or AANP certification; Physician Assistants: NCCPA certification
- Current CPR certification; DOT certification or to be obtained within 60 days
