Job Summary
As an Advanced Practice Provider at Live Urgent Care, you will evaluate, diagnose, and treat acute illnesses and injuries across all ages; perform urgent care procedures including suturing, splinting, wound care, incision and drainage, and foreign body removal; interpret initial digital X-rays and EKGs; conduct DOT physicals and occupational health visits; manage a broad range of urgent care presentations; collaborate with medical assistants, scribes, fellow providers, and leadership; deliver efficient, compassionate, evidence-based care; help maintain smooth patient flow while upholding high clinical standards; this role requires active DOT certification, a Master’s degree, and licensure as a PA or NP, with a minimum of 1 year urgent care experience and the ability to work in a fast-paced setting.
Required Qualifications
- Current licensure as a Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner
- Master’s degree in Physician Assistant or Nursing program
- Certification: NCCPA for PAs or ANCC/AANP for NPs
- DOT certification (must be active) or obtain within first 60 days
- Minimum of 1 year of urgent care experience
- Experience with suturing, splinting, wound care, incision and drainage
- Ability to interpret initial digital X-rays and EKGs
- CPR certification
- Experience managing acute illnesses and injuries in urgent care
- Strong communication skills and ability to work independently
