Job Summary
Provides a wide spectrum of direct health care services to patients under the supervision of a licensed physician, including assessing patients through interviews, health history, physical examinations, and diagnostic tests; interpreting data; developing and implementing treatment plans; performing interim exams; and maintaining patient care across acute and stable chronic illnesses. Responsibilities include maintaining accurate charts/records, ordering diagnostic studies, providing health education, documenting care and follow-up, and participating in ongoing medical education and quality assurance activities. Supervises and collaborates with physicians to ensure safe and effective patient care within prescribed guidelines; adheres to practice agreements and ensures proper documentation for reimbursement. Required Qualifications
- Master's Degree from an accredited college or university
- South Carolina state medical license
- CPR and BLS certification
- Course of study approved by a medical body (e.g., CAHEA, AMA, or Association of Medical Colleges)
