Job Summary

Provide direct patient care in the CVSICU/SICU, including assessment, diagnosis, and management of postoperative cardiovascular patients. Perform invasive procedures, including but not limited to central line placement, arterial line placement, chest tube removal, and pacer wire removal. Collaborate with the interdisciplinary healthcare team to assess, diagnose, and manage critically ill patients. Conduct comprehensive patient assessments, develop and implement evidence-based treatment plans, and evaluate patient responses to interventions. Provide education and support to patients and their families regarding their condition, treatment options, and discharge planning. Participate in quality improvement initiatives and research projects to enhance patient care and outcomes. Work permanent nights including weekends and holidays.

Required Qualifications

  • Master's degree as a Acute Care Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant
  • Active, unrestricted ACNP or PA-C license and certification
  • Minimum of 1 year of clinical experience in critical care, preferably in a cardiovascular surgical intensive care unit
  • Ability to work independently and make critical decisions in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment
  • Excellent communication, teamwork, and problem-solving skills
  • Permanent Nights
  • Including weekends and holidays
