Job Summary
Assist the primary surgeon during inpatient urology procedures while maintaining sterile technique. Perform preoperative histories and physicals, write post-op notes and orders for patients in the PACU, and interpret diagnostic test results and medications. Respond to nursing unit calls to assess, diagnose, and write clinical orders under attending physician direction. Conduct special clinical procedures as directed. Requires an AMA-approved Master's degree, active DC license, NCCPA certification, and CDS/DEA licenses. Minimum $63.31/hour to $98.31/hour.
Required Qualifications
- Completion of an AMA approved Physician Assistance Master's Degree Program
- Active DC License & NCCPA Certification
- Active CDS/DEA licenses
- Active PECOS enrollment
- BLS Health Care Provider CPR and ACLS certification
- Knowledge of and ability to maintain sterile technique
- Knowledgeable about diagnostic ancillary testing and interpretation of test results
- Knowledge of medications and current treatment regimes
- Ability to perform preoperative histories and physicals
- Ability to write post-op notes and orders
- Ability to assess, diagnose and write orders on behalf of the attending physician
- Ability to perform special clinical procedures under the direction of the attending physician
- Licensed Physician Assistant
- PA Urology experience
Desired Qualifications
- Licensed Physician Assisant with PA Urology experience preferred
