Facilitate effective diagnostic and emergency care for patients in outpatient and acute inpatient settings by proactively ordering and interpreting laboratory, radiological, and specialized diagnostic studies. Independently institute immediate emergency measures, stabilize acute patient situations, and communicate significant status changes to attending physicians. Encompass preparing and electronically prescribing medications, performing minor bedside surgical procedures, and executing complex specialty-specific procedures. Actively coordinate complex care needs with interdisciplinary teams, initiate timely consultations for cases exceeding scope, and provide specialized critical care while ensuring accurate medical record documentation. Educate patients and families on prevention, medication, and treatment instructions, ensuring seamless continuity of care from outpatient visits to post-discharge follow-up. Engage in mandatory professional continuing education, participate in quality improvement initiatives, and perform specialized procedures such as assisting in surgical or interventional radiology under supervision.
