Job Summary
Provides primary and episodic care to patients in collaboration with medical professionals, following protocols set by the Chief Medical Officer and Supervising Physician. Performs physical exams, selects and orders tests, documents differential diagnoses, prescribes medications, maintains quality and safety standards, and manages patient flow. Requires a Master's degree from an accredited program, state licensure, national certification, DEA license, and BLS certification, with previous clinical experience in relevant settings.
Required Qualifications
- Master's degree from an ARC-PA accredited program for Physician Assistants
- State licensure as a Physician Assistant
- National board certification by one of the Physician Assistant certifying bodies (i.e. NCCPA)
- DEA license with no restrictions
Desired Qualifications
- BLS certified
- Clinical experience in an emergency, urgent care or ambulatory clinic setting
Additional Requirements
- Candidate must be able to read, write and speak English fluently
- Job requires physical ability for long-term standing, occasional sitting, crouching, kneeling, frequent walking, reaching with reaching above head and below waist
- Job risks include exposure to blood and body fluids (high), contact with chemicals, lifting of 30 - 40 pounds, and exposure to infectious disease
