Job Summary
Take patient history, record findings in charts, and develop care plans for established patients. Confers with physicians on diagnoses and treatment, prescribes medications within state guidelines, and manages immunotherapy protocols. Perform patient education by showing videos, distributing materials, and directing patients to online resources. Triage incoming calls, instruct patients on treatment, and document all actions. Oversee appointment bookings, transmit prescription requests to pharmacy, and handle emergency scheduling. Maintain patient confidentiality, comply with HIPAA and OIG training, and attend regular meetings. Complete assigned AP training within designated timeframes and report policy violations. Requires a PA degree, current licensure, and at least two years of experience in a physician office or hospital.

- Ability to make independent decisions about patient care
- Experience diagnosing and treating patients
- Working knowledge of managed care basics
- Experience working with a managed care and Medicare population
- Comfortable using email and interacting with Internet applications
- Knowledge of practice management and word processing software
- Good communication skills
- Neat, professional appearance
- Normal visual acuity
- Normal hearing
- Full range of body motion including manual and finger dexterity and eye-hand coordination
- Ability to stand and walk
- Ability to lift and carry items weighing up to 30 pounds
- Normal visual acuity and hearing
- Ability to work under stressful conditions
- Ability to be exposed to bodily fluids on a regular basis
- Frequent exposure to communicable diseases, toxic substances, needle sticks and other conditions common to a clinic environment
