Job Summary
Conduct thorough medical evaluations and treat patients under the direct supervision of the Chief Medical Officer, including minor surgical procedures such as joint injections, suture repair, wound debridement, and foreign body removal. Oversee certified medical staff to ensure efficient care while performing remote evaluations via telemedicine and supporting case management calls. Available for after-hours visits to address urgent needs and lead new clinic projects. Requires an active Louisiana and Texas license, DEA, and DPS certificate with no restrictions, plus the ability to work independently in varied environments.
Required Qualifications
- Must be a certified Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant
- Strong proficiency in performing minor surgical procedures
- Strong communication skills, both written and oral
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team, fostering a collaborative work environment
- Must be able to adapt to work in varied environments and learn detailed procedures
- Proven ability to work under pressure and make effective decisions
- Cross-train and assist other departments as necessary
- Commitment to maintaining all required CMEs
- Can have no active investigations by the Texas Medical Board
- Requires an active DEA and DPS certificate with no restrictions on prescribing medications
- Holds a full and unrestricted license in Louisiana and Texas
- Regularly required to read, talk, or hear
- Frequently required to stand, walk, sit, use hands to handle training equipment and tools, reach with hands and arms, climb or balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, and crawl
- Occasionally lifts and/or moves up to 25 pounds
- Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus
- Requires travel as needed
