Physician Assistant – General Surgery | Dothan, Alabama

First assist in the operating room during general surgical procedures, conduct patient evaluations, and provide perioperative and postoperative care. Manage inpatient surgical patients through admissions, consultations, and daily rounds while developing treatment plans with supervising surgeons. Order and interpret laboratory tests, imaging studies, and other diagnostic procedures, and perform bedside procedures within scope of practice. Provide patient and family education regarding surgical procedures and recovery expectations, and maintain accurate documentation within the electronic health record. Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure coordinated patient care in a collaborative environment with experienced surgeons in both inpatient and outpatient settings.
