Physician Assistant- Gastro (Outpatient)

Physician Assistant- Gastro (Outpatient) provides PA services in an outpatient gastroenterology setting, taking initial patient histories and performing physical examinations, developing and communicating plans of care, conducting daily patient rounds, writing orders for medications, laboratory work, and diagnostic tests, interpreting lab/test results, and coordinating with attending physicians, residents, nursing staff, and other care providers to ensure high-quality patient care. Responsible for discharge summaries, post-discharge instructions, and referrals as part of the continuum of care; participates in performance improvement, research, and educational activities. Requires a Bachelor’s Degree, ARC-PA-accredited program graduation, NYS PA licensure, NCCPA certification, and BLS certification.
