Job Summary
Assess and treat patients with common acute conditions, chronic illnesses, and minor trauma in collaboration with a physician. Educate patients and families on preventive care, medical issues, and prescribed treatments while maintaining accurate, confidential medical records. Order diagnostic tests as appropriate and prescribe medications within scope of license. Facilitate evaluation of records by physicians according to protocols and implement constructive directives. Promote health maintenance through counseling on annual physicals, positive behaviors, and self-care skills. Requires a Master's degree from an accredited PA program, current license, and strong communication skills. Monday through Friday schedule with comprehensive benefits.
Required Qualifications
- Must enjoy working with adult to geriatric patients
- A PA degree from an accredited school or University
- Master's degree in PA
- Must hold current license/registration to practice
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Must have the ability to exercise sound judgment and discretion
- Ability to maintain highly confidential information
