Job Summary
Physician Assistant (PA) needed for a team-based primary care practice in Locust Grove, GA within a VillageMD network. The role supports care across pediatric and adult patients in outpatient settings with a robust clinical/operations framework, telehealth capabilities including a virtual scribe, and cross-trained care-management teams embedded in clinics. Responsible for comprehensive health assessment, collaborating with clinical leaders, and using Athena EMR to deliver value-based, patient-centered care. The position emphasizes flexible scheduling, strong leadership communication, and opportunities to engage in town halls and practice meetings. Candidates should be a graduate of an accredited PA program, hold licensure or be eligible, have DEA registration or eligibility, Medicare/Medicaid enrollment or eligibility, and BLS or ACLS certification, with comfort in pediatric and adult care and EMR usage.
Required Qualifications
- Graduate and certified from an accredited Physician Assistant program
- Two or more years of outpatient clinical experience as a Physician Assistant (preferred but not required)
- Current, unrestricted license in practicing state or be eligible for licensure
- Active Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA) registration or be eligible for registration
- Must possess active Medicare/Medicaid Enrollment or be eligible to enroll
- Certified in Basic Life Support (BLS) or Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS)
- Comfortable with Electronic Medical Record (EMR) system; Athena preferred
