Physician Assistant - Family Medicine

Physician Assistant in family medicine providing outpatient care under the direction of collaborating physicians. Responsibilities include taking detailed histories and performing physical examinations, ordering imaging and labs, interpreting results, instructing patients on regimens and post-procedure care, maintaining records and progress notes, following patients through treatment in a clinic setting, collaborating with physicians and health-care teams to achieve optimal outcomes, prescribing pharmacologic and non-pharmacologic therapies, participating in standards of practice development, assessing learning needs of patients and families, promoting wellness and preventive care, and working autonomously within interdisciplinary teams to support high-quality patient experiences in an ambulatory family medicine setting.
