Job Summary
Physician Assistant in family medicine providing outpatient care under the direction of collaborating physicians. Responsibilities include obtaining detailed histories, performing physical examinations, ordering imaging and lab tests, interpreting results, instructing patients on prescribed regimens and pre/post operative instructions, maintaining records and progress notes, following patients through treatment in the clinic, collaborating with the health-care team, prescribing pharmacologic and non-pharmacologic therapies, participating in standards of practice development, assessing learning needs of patients and families, promoting wellness, and working autonomously within interdisciplinary teams to deliver high-quality patient care in an outpatient setting.
Required Qualifications
- Licensed Physician Assistant (PA) in the State of IL
- Federal DEA and Illinois Controlled Substances License required
- Education: Completion of master's level program preferred
- Certification: BLS/CPR certification required
- Experience: Prior PA experience preferred
