Job Summary
Physician Assistant (PA) in family medicine sought to provide outpatient care under the direction of collaborating physicians. Responsibilities include taking detailed histories, performing physical examinations, ordering imaging and labs, interpreting results, instructing patients on therapeutic regimens and pre/postoperative instructions, maintaining records and progress notes, following patients through treatment in the clinic, collaborating with the health-care team to optimize outcomes, prescribing pharmacologic and non-pharmacologic therapies, contributing to standards of practice, assessing learning needs of patients and families, and promoting wellness and preventive care in diverse settings. The role supports autonomous clinical management of acute and chronic illness in an outpatient clinic, working within interdisciplinary teams to deliver high-quality patient experiences while adhering to organizational policies.
Required Qualifications
- Physician Assistant (PA) Licensure in the State of IL
- Federal DEA License and Illinois Controlled Substances License required
- BLS/CPR certification required
- Education: Completion of master's level program preferred
