Job Summary
Physician Assistant at Family Care Center's Cibolo Clinic leads outpatient behavioral health care under physician supervision, performing psychiatric/medical evaluations, diagnosing conditions, planning and prescribing pharmacologic and non-pharmacologic treatments, and coordinating care with a multidisciplinary team. Responsibilities include psychiatric diagnostic evaluations for mental health and substance use needs, medication management, ordering and interpreting labs, documenting in EHR, ensuring timely access to care, and participating in weekly supervisory meetings. The PA will conduct Transcranial Magnetic Stimulation mappings/remapping procedures once trained, maintain compliance with state regulations and CME requirements, and contribute to care coordination with families, PCPs, and other specialists. Required qualifications include NCCPA-approved PA program graduation, current PA licensure, active DEA license, and BLS; psych CAQ is preferred. Required Qualifications
- Graduation from an NCCPA-approved physician assistant program
- Current Physician Assistant license in the state of practice and active state DEA License
- BLS from the American Heart Association required
- PA with Psych CAQ preferred
- 1-year clinical experience in a psychiatric or mental health setting preferred
