Job Summary
Conduct comprehensive patient assessments, obtain medical histories, and perform physical exams while interpreting records to establish diagnoses and therapeutic plans. Administer injections, immunizations, medications, and wound sutures; order laboratory and diagnostic procedures; and provide patient education and treatment instructions. Accurately document all encounters and data, maintain patient confidentiality, and foster positive relationships across the team. Remain calm and effective under pressure, address concerns promptly, and utilize established guidelines in collaboration with supervising physicians. Work extended hours and alternate weekends in a fast-paced urgent care or emergency medicine setting.
Required Qualifications
- Certification as an APRN, NP, or PA (AANP, ANCC, or NCCPA)
- Proficiency with EMR systems
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to interpret instructions and apply learned concepts in real-world scenarios
- Competency in relevant medical calculations
- Ability to perform effectively in high-stress or emergency situations and during irregular hours
- Willingness to work in settings involving exposure to communicable diseases or bodily fluids
- Exceptional customer service and teamwork skills
- Strong organizational and time management skills with attention to detail
- Effective problem-solving and critical thinking abilities
- Compliance with HIPAA standards
- Professionalism balanced with creativity and adaptability
- Desire to work in a fast-paced, evolving environment with a results-driven team approach
- Must be available to work extended hours and alternate weekends
- Must be able to lift or move up to 50 pounds
