Job Summary
Evaluate, assess, diagnose, and treat emergency department patients within approved clinical privileges. Order and interpret laboratory and diagnostic testing while performing approved procedures consistent with granted privileges. Collaborate closely with Emergency Medicine Physicians, nursing staff, and ancillary departments to deliver compassionate, efficient, patient-centered care. Maintain complete, timely, and accurate medical documentation. This role supports the opening of Exceptional Healthcare's new Community Hospital in Rapid City, SD, with a focus on building a culture centered around compassion, teamwork, and excellence.
Required Qualifications
- Graduate of an accredited Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant program
- Eligible for unrestricted South Dakota licensure
- Eligible for DEA registration and South Dakota controlled substance authority
- Current BLS and ACLS certification
- 2 Years emergency Department, or comparable emergency medicine experience
- Comfortable evaluating, stabilizing, and treating emergency patients within approved clinical privileges
- Ability to successfully meet all Exceptional Community Hospital credentialing, privileging, payer enrollment, background screening, and compliance requirements
Desired Qualifications
- Emergency Medicine experience
- PALS and ATLS certification
- Experience performing emergency procedures consistent with granted privileges
