Job Summary
Physician Assistant sought to join an ENT group at New Providence, affiliated with Overlook Medical Center, part of Atlantic Health System. The role spans multiple venues (OR, ER, hospital floor, office) with direct patient care in inpatient and outpatient settings. Responsibilities include patient health assessments, diagnostic participation, developing and implementing plans of care, coordinating preoperative patient care, ordering tests, preoperative clearances, and scheduling procedures. Schedule is Monday–Friday (days), with no weekends or on-call. Requires an accredited Physician Assistant degree and NJ licensure (or eligibility), ACLS/BLS certification, and relevant surgical experience (ENT or surgical subspecialty preferred). Strong communication and computer skills, collaborative team orientation, and ability to work independently are essential.
Required Qualifications
- Physician Assistant degree from an accredited program
- Must be licensed or eligible for licensure in New Jersey
- ACLS and BLS certification required
- 1-2 years of surgical experience preferred
- OR First Assist experience preferred
- ENT or surgical sub-specialty experience preferred
- Must have excellent communication and computer skills
- Strong work ethic and a team player who can work independently
