Job Summary
Physician Assistant needed to join the ENT group at New Providence, affiliated with Overlook Medical Center. The role is multi-venue, spanning OR, ER, hospital floor, and office, with direct patient care in both inpatient and outpatient settings. Responsibilities include assessments of health status, diagnosis involvement, development and implementation of care plans, coordination of preoperative patient care, ordering tests, preoperative clearances, and scheduling procedures. Schedule is Monday–Friday (days), with no weekends or on-call. Ideal candidate has PA degree, NJ license or eligibility, ACLS/BLS, 1–2 years of surgical experience, and ENT or surgical sub-specialty experience; strong communication and computer skills and ability to work both collaboratively and independently.
Required Qualifications
- Physician Assistant degree from an accredited program
- Must be licensed or eligible for licensure in New Jersey
- ACLS and BLS certification required
- 1-2 years of surgical experience preferred
- OR First Assist experience preferred
- ENT or surgical sub-specialty experience preferred
- Must have excellent communication and computer skills
- Strong work ethic and a team player who can work independently
