Physician Assistant Endocrinology

Job Summary
Provides care to new or established patients in endocrinology under the supervision of a physician. Demonstrates autonomy through patient evaluation, assessment, diagnosis, treatment and follow-up care. Orders testing as deemed necessary and remains proficient in interpreting results and prescribing appropriate medication and therapeutic regimens within the PA scope of practice. Collaborates with nursing, staff physicians and other department personnel; may include triage, telephone communications, and patient education. Conducts assessments to establish presumptive diagnoses, develops treatment plans, documents in the electronic medical record, orders/interprets diagnostic tests, prescribes medications, and communicates with collaborating physicians and patients to ensure safe, ethical, and effective care. Works primarily in a clinical environment and adheres to organization policies while fulfilling department competencies and goals.
Required Qualifications
- Master's Degree-Physician Assistant (Required)
- PA licensure or eligibility to practice as Physician Assistant in Pennsylvania? Note: Location is Missouri; however, the posting specifies a Master’s Degree is required for the PA role.
