Physician Assistant Endocrinology

Job Summary
In collaboration with the physician, provides care to new or established patients in an endocrinology setting. Demonstrates autonomy through patient evaluation, assessment, diagnosis, treatment and follow-up care; orders testing as deemed necessary and interprets results; prescribes appropriate therapy within PA scope. Responsibilities include triage, telephone communication, patient education, and collaboration with nursing, staff physicians, and department colleagues. Requires Master’s Degree for Physician Assistant and current PA licensure eligibility. Works in a clinical environment with adherence to organizational policies and evidence-based practice; emphasizes patient advocacy, safety, and clear communication to patients and families. Collaborative practice with a physician and interdisciplinary team to ensure safe, ethical, and effective care, with responsibilities spanning documentation, treatment planning, and ongoing care coordination.
Required Qualifications
- Master's Degree-Physician Assistant (Required)
- Licensed Physician Assistant or eligible for licensure
- Ability to practice within PA scope of licensure
- Experience with endocrinology or related field preferred
- Proficiency with electronic medical records (EMR)
- Demonstrated patient evaluation and care coordination skills
