Physician Assistant Endocrinology

Provides patient care in collaboration with the physician, including autonomous evaluation, assessment, diagnosis, treatment and follow-up. Orders testing as needed, interprets results, and prescribes medications within the scope of the physician assistant. Works with nurses and staff; may include triage, telephone communication and patient education. Maintains electronic medical records, adheres to evidence-based practice, and communicates with the collaborating physician and care team to ensure safe, ethical care and timely follow-up in a clinical setting.
