Job Summary
Physician Assistant per diem responsible for taking patient histories, performing physical examinations, initiating and communicating the plan of care, daily patient rounds, writing orders for medications, labs, and diagnostic tests, interpreting lab/test results, and coordinating with attending physicians, residents, nursing staff, and other care providers to ensure high-quality patient care. Includes discharge planning, post-discharge instructions, and related duties. Requires completion of an ARC-PA accredited PA program, NY PA license, NCCPA certification, and BLS, with a Bachelor's degree. Per diem role located in Valley Stream, NY (Nassau) within the United States.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree, required
- Graduate of an accredited ARC-PA PA program
- Current NY State PA license
- Current NCCPA Certification
- Current BLS certification
