PHYSICIAN ASSISTANT

Physician Assistant needed at Duke University Hospital in Durham, NC, to manage a caseload of patients in non-critical inpatient or ambulatory primary care/specialty clinic settings. The PA collaborates with supervising physicians, performs direct clinical services (history taking, physical exams, ordering/interpretation of tests, prescribing interventions/medications), develops and implements treatment plans for acute illnesses, and participates in research, teaching, and quality improvement activities. Requires completion of an accredited PA program and NC licensure with NCCPA certification; Bachelor's degree required with Master's degree strongly preferred. Must be able to provide family-centered care, utilize evidence-based practice, and engage in professional development through ongoing education and professional organizations. BLS certification is required.
