Job Summary
Physician Assistant position at La Ronge Health Centre (La Ronge, SK, Canada) for full-time regular, 1 FTE, days shift with 14 eight-hour rotations over 3 weeks. The PA practices medicine within a formalized Physician/PA relationship, providing medically generalist care, diagnostic and therapeutic interventions, under CPSS oversight. Preference given to HSAS members per SAHO/HSAS Collective Agreement. Requirements include completion of an accredited PA degree program and active licensure/eligibility with CPSS; relevant certifications (PA-C, PALS/ACLS/ATLS assets) are considered assets. Location: La Ronge, SK; travel within Saskatchewan may be required; standby may be required. Demonstrated competencies in communication, technical, interpersonal, leadership, analytical skills, and commitment to patient- and family-centered care.
Required Qualifications
- Completion of an accredited PA degree program
- Physician Assistant - Certified (PA-C) through the NCCPA or eligible for registration with CPSS
- Canadian Certified Physician Assistant (CCPA) through PACCC or eligible for registration with CPSS
- Membership in good standing with CPSS as a PA or eligibility for CPSS registration
- Valid Class 5 driver's license
- PALS/ACLS/ATLS assets as applicable
- Ability to work in a multi-disciplinary team
- Communicate effectively in English
